Cuentacuentos Calíope

A project dedicated to activating Spanish as a living language within migrant communities in Europe.

Through oral storytelling, collective reading practices, and creative writing workshops for children, the project creates intergenerational spaces for linguistic transmission and cultural memory. Language is understood as a symbolic territory and as an embodied archive.

The initiative began in Mexico as a collaborative reading mediation project in cultural and educational spaces, including urban peripheries. In its current European stage, it functions as a space of encounter centered on the mother tongue.
